Editor, University News Letter

Inaugural editor of the University News Letter, and the first news letter as soon it was published was greeted with acclaim, and in an unusual gesture the University Standing Committee on Academic Affairs passed a resolution appreciating the form and content, and congratulated the Editor.

• Third spell: 2002-03

Convener, Committee for Implementation of Tamil, MSU.1993- 2001

The first exercise of translating the essential papers relating to the official work was done by the committee.

Founder Secretary MSU Campus Film Society 1993-2000

The societry was affliated to the National Body,FFSI, and provided opportunity to students of viewing the classics of world cinema.

Member MANO Book Fair Committee 1993-2001

This Book Fair was mooted by my idea and was supported by the second vice-chancellor of the University, and provided opportunity for the rural students access to top class academic books, and the faculty purchased books for the various departments at the Fair, and cultural events like Wrters Meet, Were organized at the Fair. The entire work was coordinated by me and the University Librarian.

Coordinator, MSU Inter Univ. Sports Programs 1993-2001

The sports events conducted by the University were big crowd pullers and big spectator events to the sports starved community of the region.

Member, Subramania Bharathi Archives Committee MSU 2001-02

Member Mano Colleges Subcommittee, (Rural Colleges of Arts & Science) Since 2001

The very concept of the college was evolved by myself and Dr.Shunmuganathan, in tune with the first vision of the University-- taking education to rural massed and to the underprileged-- and was piloted bythe then Vice-chancellor successfully in the launching of more than 5 such colleges which were appreciated by National Council of Accreditiaon.. NAAC
